No, your perpetual-licensed Appeon product won’t automatically expire or cease to operate. However, your standard support, which is offered on an annual subscription basis, will expire if you choose not to renew. At which time, you will no longer be eligible to receive bug fixes (in the form of EBFs and maintenance releases) as well as new versions of the product. If your standard support has expired for more than 6 months, you will not be able to reinstate standard support (but you may continue to use the installed version of PowerServer).
Yes, you can always increase your user session from a lower capacity to a higher capacity by purchasing additional User Sessions at the then-current price per User Session (minimum 50 additional User Sessions). Contact sales for an official quotation.
A PowerServer Workgroup edition license can be upgraded to an Enterprise edition license with the same number of User Sessions or more. Contact sales for a price quote.
Yes, your perpetual-licensed PowerServer may be transferred from one machine to another within your organization; however, you may NOT transfer, sell, or assign your license to another organization. This violates the terms of the end user license agreement.
If you wish to transfer an activated copy of PowerServer from one machine to another, you will need to first deactivate the primary copy, install the secondary copy using the same product key as the primary copy, provide Appeon with the activation .BIN file generated by the Appeon Enterprise Manager (AEM), and then apply the license file provided to you by Appeon.
If you have a perpetual-licensed PowerServer, you are permitted to switch from a Java EE server (e.g. WebSphere) to a .NET server (e.g. Microsoft IIS). In order to make such switch, you will need to follow our license transfer procedure.
If you have purchased an Enterprise edition license of PowerServer, you are permitted to switch operating systems (e.g. Windows to Linux). In order to make such switch, you will need to follow our license transfer procedure.
